Collin is studying the workings and materials of chemical instruments to build and modify instrumentation for the needs of the lab. He is also working on a solid state synthesis project.

If you think this project sounds interesting and would like to work on a similar MQP, then contact Prof. Grimm to join now!

What brought you to WPI?

The atmosphere of the school is so lively and productive, I knew at WPI there’d never be a shortage of awesome people and cool stuff to do!

What are your research interests?

I’m interested in physical chemistry, especially in areas about conserving energy & reusing materials. I’m also interested in building and coding different equipment to help with research, and am pursuing a minor in Computer Science.

What will you be doing immediately following your time at WPI?

I plan to buy a DeLorean and begin research on Flux Capacitors.

What are your long term professional goals?

I want to pursue a career where I can learn more about nature and hopefully find a way to more efficiently use the resources on Earth. I also am hoping to find an area where my programming and electrical knowledge will be useful.
